I have been working in Watercolor for 39 years. A trip to to Taos, NM twenty some years ago made me fall in love with the region; it’s color, landscape, flowers, and the adobe architecture. I return each summer to gather inspiration.
My work is representational with a strong emphasis on color, shadow and light and unusual viewpoints. I am still working on a series of pottery.
I have a MSE from Central Missouri University and taught High School Art for 39 years. Now I teach in a private middle school one day a week. My paintings are in Primary Colors (Independence) and Images Galleries. For many years I have been in juried shows such as the Westport Art Fair and Mid-Winter Art Fair.
I am a member of the NAEA, MAEA, Raytown Art Assoc, and the Missouri Watercolor Society.
